Mallory's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
I had the privilege of being nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2024 Eastern Wisconsin Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week leadership development program from February 22, 2024, to April 13, 2024, to raise money to help blood cancer patients survive and thrive after treatment. I am asking for community support for my campaign and LLS’s mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients.
I am a part of a team of committed friends and family to partner with me on this journey. Together, we have set a fundraising goal of $30,000! The money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers, fund research to advance lifesaving treatments, drive advocacy for policies that protect patient access to these treatments, and provide patients and families with hope, guidance, education, and support. Our candidate team is particularly passionate about research efforts and will represent this area of LLS during my campaign.
I decided to join to bring awareness to something that I find meaningful. Although I don't have direct connections to blood cancer, I have lost friends and family to other types of cancer and understand the importance of raising awareness. Ultimately, I aim to support the efforts to find a cure for blood cancer. My campaign will support the critical work of LLS, hoping that one day, no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. With your help, I can reach my goal and directly impact the fight against blood cancers. Additionally, I encourage you to spread the word to help me reach my goal. Please feel free to contact me by email at actonmallory05@gmail.com.
To make your donation, go further—check if your company matches charitable gifts. www.lls.org/matchinggifts
All donations received will support LLS’ overall mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Thank you in advance for partnering with a campaign so close to my heart; please remember, every bit counts.
Sincerely,
Mallory Acton
